why to how
this from miz kc of kc herself... seemed fitting somehow. and love that i have a real poem of hers. especially since i have about 100 poems she's sent me from other folks.

(at least 1 poem a day for april for three years = at least 100 poems. no wonder i'm overwhelmed by it every year!)

in the last cold sky of this
time?
stillness

except the two writhing pines,
wrestling with something
we are spared

and the band of cars
constantly forward
so that this time seems like all others
(a certainty comes: there must be times of rest if forward
is to be forward)

then the synchronized swarm of pigeons
swooping and weaving some tangle
everyday

soon i will know why
and can move on
to how
